Check out this year’s installation by Guild members Michal Brown, Sara Brown, Lynda Cmara, Lis-el Crowley, Bevlynn Gallant, Susan Hushin, Sharon Lamonakis, and Bettina Rowlands.  The fourth installation in this whimsical museum exhibit by the guild, each year promises new and surprising features.  Faerieville, USA is an enchanting town where faeries live, play, and work.  Walk along Wee Faerie Boulevard and marvel at the quintessential small-town features such as the wee faerie Grocery Store, Post Office, and Flower Shop. Make a right at Faerie Landing to visit the wee faerie School, Movie Theater, and Police Station. Explore the wee faerie Park, Opera House, and Bank. Everything faeries require to get through their whimsical day can be found in and around this friendly town.

Guild Exhibit:  Exquisite Alchemy

Members of the Metalclay Artisan Guild in CT, with nothing more than their imagination, creative spirit, and a few simple tools, transform shapeless lumps of clay into objects of exquisite beauty. The alchemy of the kiln transforms the fragile creations into metal pieces that are durable and strong as well as beautiful.

Meet the artists at the Artists Reception on Friday, May 19, from 5:30-8 p.m. 

Stop in during business hours (Fridays and Saturdays from 12 to 6 pm and Sundays from 12 to 5 pm) between May 19 and June 11 to check out the show!

Marlene is the author of Profiting by Design: a Jewelry Maker's Guide to Business Success. Marlene is a well-known speaker on business topics related to the jewelry industry and was a regular columnist for Art Jewelry Magazine. She will be presenting her talk about pricing and selling jewelry to the Guild.Cost for this meeting will be $10. Marlene will have copies of her book for sale, too.

Meet the Artists of Steampunk'd Wonderland
Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme, CT
Join the members of the Metal Clay Artisan Guild of CT, along with artists from across the state, for the opening event of Steampunk'd Wonderland.  Tour more than two dozen site specific installations on the Florence Griswold Museum Campus as you take an imaginative guided trip through Alice's Adventure in Wonderland.  The Guild can be found in the first chapter of the adventure, with an installation that invites the viewer down the rabbit hole and through the hall of doors Alice was confronted with.  Once the sun goes down, the party moves in doors with a sneak peak of the museum's fall exhibits.

This beautiful, one-of-a-kind bracelet was created by members of the Metal Clay Artisan Guild in CT. The mixed metals charms are handcrafted in silver, copper, and bronze; some are accented with dichroic glass or hand-coloring. A showstopper bracelet…sure to be the perfect compliment for whatever you're wearing!

The bracelet is on view at the Windsor Historical Society, 96 Palisado Avenue, Windsor, CT, as part of a collaborative exhibit by the Guild and the Historical Society-- "Inspired Objects: Metalworking Through the Ages".

The Guild is donating all of the proceeds from this auction to the Connecticut chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, making this a lovely opportunity for you to not only own a very special piece of jewelry, but to support a very worthy cause!
